The challenges of customer support in the booming less-than-truckload (LTL) and expedite sectors of the transportation industry topped the agenda for attendees of Landstar’s 2018 LTL & Expedite Expo.

The meeting, held in Chicago, Illinois, August 9, offered Landstar independent agents and independent motor-carriers a chance to discuss strategies for continuing to provide service excellence as well as a look at new opportunities available within the LTL and expedite markets.

In its fifth consecutive year, the 2018 event focused on Landstar’s LTL and expedite programs, and the support available for independent agents and third-party capacity providers.

This expo included three panel discussions and Landstar executive presentations on:
  • Landstar’s LTL and expedite services
  • The agent business model
  • Solutions for the growing and serving the LTL and expedite sector
  • Customer support

The event also served as an opportunity for attendees to interact with industry experts. Speakers from Cleveland Research, Banyan Technologies and Omnitracs/Sylectus shared their view on the state of the industry, LTL and expedite business opportunities, and the technologies available for customer support. More than 100 carriers and independent agents attended the 2018 Landstar LTL & Expedite Expo.
